The Story

The Cayenne 9Y0 is the current Cayenne — the benchmark sports SUV, and one of the most complete vehicles Porsche makes. Launched in 2017, it took everything that made the Cayenne great and sharpened it further: communicative steering and braking ‘about as good as it gets in an SUV,’ cornering precision ‘beyond what you should expect,’ a beautifully-built tech-rich cabin, and a vast engine range from efficient V6s to the 550-PS Turbo and the 680-PS Turbo S E-Hybrid. It also added a sleeker Coupé body style. Top Gear calls it ‘one of the most complete SUVs money can buy’ and ‘best in class to drive’ — high praise for a car that still, somehow, handles like a Porsche.
