The Story

In 2023 Rolls-Royce launched its first series-production electric car, the Spectre – and framed it not as a leap but as a homecoming. Back in 1900 co-founder Charles Rolls predicted the electric car would be ‘noiseless and clean,’ and the Spectre is engineered to deliver exactly that: a vast two-door electric super-coupe that glides in near-total silence.

Dual motors make 577 bhp (650 in Black Badge), a 102 kWh battery gives ~264 miles of EPA range, and with a drag coefficient of 0.25 it is the most aerodynamic Rolls-Royce ever built. It shares the aluminium Architecture of Luxury platform with the Phantom and Cullinan. Rolls-Royce has committed to an all-electric range by 2030 – making the Spectre not a novelty but the template for the marque’s entire future.

Black Badge for the extra power. Starlight Doors and tasteful bespoke specs add desirability. Verify battery health and software; the model is too new for a settled used-value curve, so buy on spec and condition.

How far does the Rolls-Royce Spectre travel on one charge?

The Spectre’s 102 kWh battery delivers an EPA range of approximately 251-277 miles depending on model year, wheel choice, and configuration (Car and Driver lists 251-277 for 2026 examples).

How fast is the Rolls-Royce Spectre 0 to 60 mph?

In Black Badge specification the Spectre covers 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, driven by dual electric motors producing 650 bhp.

How does the Rolls-Royce Spectre compare to the Wraith?

Compared to the V12 Wraith, the Black Badge Spectre (versus the Black Badge Wraith) gains 26 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque, dropping 0-60 from 4.3 to 4.1 seconds. Standard Spectre produces 577 hp / 664 lb-ft. The Spectre’s electric drivetrain adds roughly 1,060-1,180 lb in kerb weight.
