Porsche 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid (992.2)
2024– · Porsche 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid (992.2) — Sports Car, Flat-6 Turbo, designed by Michael Mauer.
The Story
The 992.2 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid is a landmark — the first-ever hybrid 911 (outside the 918 hypercar), and proof that electrification can make the 911 better, not blander. Launched in 2024, its clever, lightweight ‘T-Hybrid’ system pairs a new 3.6-litre flat-six with a single electric exhaust-gas turbocharger (which spins up instantly, killing lag) and a compact electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK, for a combined 541 PS and savage, immediate response. It’s quicker than ever — some 8.7 seconds faster than the old Carrera 4 GTS around the Nürburgring — yet, crucially, it still feels and sounds like a proper 911. evo calls it ‘the best 992 Carrera of all’; it’s a brilliant, forward-looking high point for the everyday 911.

Questions
911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid (992.2) FAQ
How does the Porsche 911 GTS T-Hybrid powertrain work?
The 911 GTS T-Hybrid combines a new 3.6-litre single-turbocharged flat-six with an electric exhaust-gas turbocharger (eTurbo) and an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed PDK. Total system output is 532 hp (541 PS) and 449 lb-ft, with the electric motor providing instantaneous torque fill between gear changes and at low revs.
Is the 992.2 GTS the first hybrid Porsche 911?
Yes. The 992.2 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, revealed on 28 May 2024 and on sale from late 2024, is the first 911 to enter full-scale series production with a hybrid powertrain. Earlier hybrid concepts existed but no production 911 carried electric assistance before the 992.2 GTS.
How fast is the Porsche 911 GTS T-Hybrid?
The 992.2 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid reaches 62 mph in 3.0 seconds (approximately 2.9 seconds to 60 mph) and has a top speed of 194 mph. The electric motor in the PDK fills torque between gearchanges, noticeably tightening the shift impulse compared to a conventional PDK 911.
How does the T-Hybrid GTS compare to the non-hybrid 992.2 Carrera S?
The GTS T-Hybrid produces 532 hp vs 473 hp for the Carrera S, is faster to 60 mph by approximately 0.4 seconds, and uses an entirely new 3.6-litre engine architecture with an integrated electric motor and lithium-ion battery. Note that the 992.2 Carrera S is PDK-only; buyers who want a manual gearbox on a 992.2 need the Carrera T.
Can I buy or finance a 911 GTS T-Hybrid through Studio Motors?
Yes. Specialist lenders can structure financing on current-production hybrid 911s.
