The Story
When Ferrari unveiled the LaFerrari at the 2013 Geneva show, it wasn’t just naming a car — it was making a claim. This was THE Ferrari, carrying a name no future model could top. Successor to the Enzo, it paired a 6.3L F140 FE V12 spinning to 9,000 rpm with an F1-derived HY-KERS hybrid system for a combined 963 PS (950 hp) — the most powerful road Ferrari ever built. Just 499 coupes were made, sold by invitation only before the car was even shown.
Its significance runs deeper than horsepower: the LaFerrari was the first Ferrari styled entirely in-house, by the Ferrari Styling Centre under Flavio Manzoni — the first road Ferrari since the 1973 Dino 308 GT4 not to wear Pininfarina coachwork, ending a six-decade partnership.
