The 992 GT3 RS is the closest thing to a race car Porsche will sell you with number plates. Revealed in 2022, it abandoned any pretence of road-car compromise: a 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six spinning to 9,000 rpm (525 PS), and — most radically — a full active-aerodynamics package with a DRS-style stalling rear wing on a swan-neck mount, generating up to 860 kg of downforce at 177 mph (more than a 992 GT3 Cup race car). Cooling, suspension, even the radiator layout were re-engineered for the track. It is, by every reviewer’s account, the most extreme 911 ever built — a circuit weapon you can register, and a car that genuinely belongs at Spa rather than in a garage.
