Porsche 911 S/T (992)
2023 · Porsche 911 S/T (992) — Sports Car, Flat-6, designed by Michael Mauer.
The Story
Built to celebrate 60 years of the 911 in 2023, the S/T is the spiritual successor to the 911 R — and, by most accounts, the most special 992 of all. It takes the 992 GT3 RS’s high-revving 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six (518 hp, 9,000 rpm), pairs it with a short-throw six-speed MANUAL and a lightweight single-mass flywheel, wraps it in CFRP panels, and deletes the big aero for a clean, purist look. At ~1,380 kg it’s the lightest 992, and just 1,963 were built (a nod to the 911’s 1963 debut). Where the GT3 RS is a track scalpel, the S/T is a driver’s car for the road — the purest expression of the modern 911.

Questions
911 S/T (992) FAQ
What engine does the Porsche 911 S/T use?
The 911 S/T uses the GT3 RS-derived naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six with individual throttle bodies, producing 518 hp (525 PS) at 8,500 rpm and a 9,000 rpm redline. It is paired exclusively with a close-ratio 6-speed manual and drives the rear wheels. Carbon-fibre body panels and magnesium wheels keep kerb weight to approximately 1,380 kg.
Why does the 911 S/T production number honour 1963?
Porsche chose to build exactly 1,963 examples of the 911 S/T to mark the 60th anniversary of the original 911, which debuted at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is the lightest 992-generation 911 and draws spiritual inspiration from the lightweight 911 S of 1969.
What is the Porsche 911 S/T worth today?
The 911 S/T trades well above its $291,650 MSRP — Classic.com shows the model commonly listed in the $600,000+ range with some examples significantly higher, particularly Heritage Design Package cars.
How does the 911 S/T differ from the 992 GT3 Touring?
The S/T uses the GT3 RS engine (518 hp, individual throttle bodies, 9,000 rpm) where the GT3 Touring uses the standard GT3 unit (502 hp). The S/T adds carbon-fibre doors, bonnet, front wings, and roof plus magnesium wheels to save significant weight, and is limited to 1,963 units versus the GT3 Touring’s open production run.
How do I acquire a Porsche 911 S/T through Studio Motors?
