The Story

The GT12 is the most hardcore VH-era Vantage Aston ever built. Originally to be called ‘GT3’ (after Aston’s racers) until Porsche objected, it took the V12 Vantage to extremes: ~600 bhp, around 100 kg lighter (1,565 kg), wider track, real aero and a roll-cage option. Just 100 were made.

evo called the way it delivers performance ‘both breathtaking and… surprisingly accessible,’ and said it ‘goes to extremes like no Aston before it.’ A track-bred road car and a blue-chip collector Vantage.

Questions

V12 Vantage GT12 FAQ

Why is the car called GT12 and not GT3?

Aston Martin originally planned to call the car the Vantage GT3, after its racing counterpart. Porsche objected, claiming exclusive rights to the GT3 suffix for motorsport-derived road cars sold publicly. Aston Martin renamed it GT12 — the 12 referring to the number of cylinders in its V12 engine.

How many Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT12s were made?

Exactly 100 V12 Vantage GT12s were built in 2015-2016, each priced at GBP 250,000. All 100 were sold at announcement. One unique GT12 Roadster was also commissioned as a one-off.

How fast is the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT12?

The GT12 produces approximately 592 bhp from its naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12, covering 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds and reaching 185 mph. It weighs approximately 1,565 kg — around 100 kg less than the V12 Vantage S — thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre and lightweight materials.

What is a V12 Vantage GT12 worth today?

V12 Vantage GT12 public realised data shows trading closer to a $275,000-$280,000 benchmark (Classic.com 2025 RM sale at $275,000) — well below the often-quoted $400,000-$600,000 ask range, which represents listings rather than confirmed trades. Original price was approximately £250,000. The 100-unit run, racing DNA, and most-extreme road-legal VH-platform Aston status underpin the collector position.
