The Story
“LT” stands for Longtail, and at McLaren that is sacred ground — it points straight back to the stretched, aero-honed McLaren F1 GTR “Long Tail” that won the GT1 class at Le Mans in 1997. So when McLaren revived the badge on the 675LT in 2015, it wasn’t decoration; it was a promise. McLaren stripped ~100 kg out of the 650S, replaced roughly half the parts, lengthened the tail, fattened the aero, and wound the 3.8 V8 up to 666 bhp.
