The Story
The Brooklands Coupé was a deliberate full-stop — old-world Crewe Bentley signing off in style. Built from 2008 on the Arnage platform as a pillarless two-door, limited to 550 cars (only 430 actually sold), it took its name from the banked Surrey circuit where Bentley scored its pre-war victories.
Under the bonnet was the 6.75 twin-turbo V8 in its most muscular tune: 530 hp and 774 lb-ft — the highest torque of any production petrol V8 in the world at the time. Each car needed more than 650 man-hours, around 130 of them spent welding the body. When it retired in 2011, it closed the book on the last Rolls-Royce-era Crewe platform — the last ‘true’ Bentley.
