Designed by Ferrari engine dept. (a V8 extrapolation of the Dino V6 lineage). Ferrari’s foundational mid-engine ‘small V8’ — backbone of the volume sports cars for ~30 years. Per-variant tipo: F106→308, F105→328, F119→348, F129 (first 5-valve)→F355, F131→360. The Lancia Thema 8.32 used a cross-plane-crank version of this V8 (see MORE CARS).
