The 982 718’s turbocharged flat-four (MA2.22, 2.5 L S/GTS; base 2.0 L) — the first turbo-four in the Boxster/Cayman line, a controversial replacement for the prior flat-six. The 718 GTS 4.0 / GT4 reverted to an NA flat-six (in the 9A2 family). FLAG: no single named designer.
